In the preliminary selection held in January 2024, 15 works were selected from 655 entries from 38 countries and regions. The applicants present the thoughts and concepts behind their designs. These presentations will be made accessible not only to the judges and related parties but also to a large online audience.
IFDA2024 Award Ceremony

In the afternoon of the same day the presentations, the final selection will be held, and the winning and selected works will be determined. The results will then be announced the following day at the award ceremony venue, creating a dramatic development. While waiting for the announcement, the audience can view slides showcasing the details of the final screening. Amid the lingering excitement after the awards ceremony, five judges, including three who have traveled from overseas, will take the stage to share their experiences, behind-the-scenes stories, and anecdotes about the judging process. It will be a moment of shared joy for the applicants, participants, and the audience.
Exhibition of Winners’ and Finalists’ Works

We will hold an exhibition featuring 15 works, including the award-winning pieces that will be announced and honored on the 19th. Among these, 11 were produced by manufacturers in Asahikawa. Please visit the “ADC Gallery” on the first floor to thoroughly appreciate the design features and woodworking skills.
Cocktail Hour
June 19th, Wed. 17:00 – 18:30
After the award ceremony, you can enjoy drinks in the lounge on the 2nd floor. Please use this space as an opportunity to meet and network with others. (Free)
